Quito, Ecuador (April 14, 2022). - On April 14, Imptek Chova del Ecuador received a visit from the Dean of Research of the Universidad San Francisco de Quito (USFQ) and a group of professors of Civil and Chemical Engineering. The scientists toured the industrial plant and the asphalt laboratory, one of the most modern and equipped on the southern Pacific coast.
During the visit, they were welcomed by Juan Pablo Sotomayor, Imptek's general manager, who accompanied them and shared the company's current and future national and international objectives, where the main milestone is the expansion to the United States. "As an Ecuadorian company, we are very proud of the processes and quality with which we develop our products and we are very honored to have the presence of important scientists in our industrial plant," mentioned Sotomayor. Discussions were also initiated to explore areas of common interest that could be used in the future for the development of joint academic and research activities.
The potential of the use of polymer-modified asphalts, additives and emulsified asphalts as an environmentally friendly alternative was presented at the conference.
