One of the most anticipated interior design events of the year: Casas Project 2023, presented its 5th edition with an extraordinary remodeling work to an old house in the city of Quito where Imptek was present highlighting the importance of waterproofing techniques in the remodeling process of a building.

Sebastián Prado, the company's technical manager, said, "Waterproofing techniques play a fundamental role in remodeling processes by solving moisture problems, thus prolonging the useful life of buildings and preventing the deterioration of their materials".

Waterproofing products such as Alumband waterproofing products, Imptek asphalt cements and Densobrea were placed on the roof of the remodeled house - located on Avenida 12 de Octubre - to prevent water from seeping into the building and thus avoid the destruction of the materials due to humidity.

In addition, the waterproofing experts gave a presentation where, together with the invited architects and designers, the importance of waterproofing and protecting from humidity different places and materials in buildings such as: wood and floating floors, landscaped roofs, roof finishes with asphalt shingles, among others, was demonstrated.

Through this event, Casas Project captured the creativity and experience of several artists, designers, architects and private companies at a national level that through ideas, exhibitions, resources and economic support brought together in one place the new trends in construction and decoration in the country and globally.
