Imptek Saint-Gobain, a leading company in waterproofing, light construction and road solutions, received its sponsored athletes at its industrial plant. The visitors were able to learn about the production process of the company that supports them, evidencing the quality and innovation behind each of its products. As well as its contribution to the sustainable development of the country, through its different lines of action:
- Employment: Imptek currently generates 120 direct jobs.
- Economic dynamization: the company reached USD 18.3 million in sales, including local and international markets, by the end of 2024.
- Exports: in 2024 its exports reached USD 4.9 million in sales.
- Sustainability: the company generates 92% of its energy demand through a photovoltaic solar plant, which, together with the LED lighting system throughout the plant and highly efficient electric motors, allows for optimal energy use.
- New investments: In the last year alone, the company has invested USD 1.2 million on two fronts, on the one hand, improvements were implemented in the safety of the production lines, raising its productive capacity. On the other hand, the repowering of a zero effluent plant, which means that all the water entering the production process is reused and does not generate effluents to natural water collectors.
During the visit, the athletes also received the new sportswear sponsored by Imptek, which this year is inspired by the transition that the company has undertaken as part of the multinational group Saint-Gobain and its focus on the disciplines of Trail and Mountain. Thus, for its design, the Ecuadorian designer Diana Argüello, developed a special print that combines the colors of SAINT-GOBAIN and Imptek in the different Andean landscapes, representing the routes that its competitors travel in order to overcome their challenges and the path that the company is taking in its merger with the multinational group that now supports it.
The new Imptek apparel was made with specialized materials for training and consists of a hoodie, T-shirt and shorts for Trail, a blue T-shirt, a black T-shirt and an extra white T-shirt for support (cotton) and sports socks.
For more than 15 years, Imptek Saint-Gobain has supported sports as an engine of well-being, discipline and self-improvement.
