Quito, September 2026. The shift toward more sustainable models in construction requires a comprehensive approach that takes into account not only materials but also production processes, technical expertise, and support for those involved in every stage of a project.
In this context, Saint-Gobain, through Imptek, its leading brand in the Ecuadorian market, participated in the FUTURE AMÉRICAS Week, organized by the Ecuadorian Council for Sustainable Building (CEES), where it shared its expertise in lightweight and sustainable construction, as well as a proposal designed to address the various needs of the value chain.
“Today, our contribution goes beyond simply manufacturing materials. We seek to offer solutions that support every stage of a project, from product selection to proper installation. This involves innovating, sharing knowledge, and understanding the real needs of those who build and live in these spaces”, said Luis Alberto Vega, Director of Communications and Institutional Relations at Saint-Gobain LATAM North.
This vision is aligned with Lead & Grow, Saint-Gobain’s corporate strategy that drives the company’s evolution toward a comprehensive offering. Under this approach, the proposal combines solutions with sustainable features, production processes that incorporate technology and efficiency, specialized consulting, and service centers where customers can learn about the available options before incorporating them into their projects.
During FUTURE AMÉRICAS, Saint-Gobain Imptek participated in NET ZERO LA0° 0° with a proposal that brought together its seven brands operating in Ecuador: CertainTeed, FiberglassIsover, IMPAC, Imptek, Norton, Placo, and Tekbond. Through a complementary portfolio of construction solutions, the company shared experiences and approaches applied to sustainable construction in the region, while also promoting the exchange of ideas on the challenges and opportunities Ecuador faces in its transition toward more efficient and sustainable buildings.
Recognition for sustained work
As part of the closing of FUTURE AMERICAS, Saint-Gobain Imptek was honored as the WELLBEING & SUSTAINABILITY PARTNER, awarded by the Ecuadorian Council for Sustainable Building (CEES). This distinction highlights the company’s commitment to more sustainable construction and to incorporating well-being and sustainability criteria into its operations and solutions for the sector.
Their participation in the event allowed them to share experiences with industry stakeholders and explore solutions that help improve the efficiency and performance of buildings. This work is complemented by specialized consulting and technical training opportunities for professionals, installers, and construction foremen, bringing knowledge to those who design, build, and install.
This recognition adds to Imptek's more than 47-year track record Imptek in Ecuador and reflects its commitment to innovation, expertise, and collaboration within the industry. As part of Saint-Gobain, a leading multinational in lightweight and sustainable construction, the company supports the Group’s vision of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.
