Quito, June 15, 2023 - Ten outstanding Ecuadorian athletes received support from the private company in recognition of their effort and dedication to achieve their sporting goals on behalf of Ecuador. The group of selected athletes is called "Imptek Ambassadors" and excel in various disciplines such as trail, downhill enduro, adapted cycling, mountain climbing, karting and adventure & expedition races.
For a decade, Imptek - a leading company in the construction and waterproofing sector - has become a breeding ground for athletes who have shown impressive growth thanks to the support received. From young promises to consolidated champions, these athletes have left their mark on Ecuadorian sports and have proudly represented the country in national and international competitions.

A year full of challenges for the Sports Ambassadors
Among the ten athletes selected and recognized for their achievements and participations at national and international level, are: brothers Gonzalo and Juan José Calisto together with their teammates Francisco Pinto, Xavier Chiriboga and Tania Díaz of the Life Adventure Team; the sixth best adventure team in the world.
In addition, Joaquín López and María Emilia Crespo - national team members who represented Ecuador in June at the Trail World Cup in Austria. And also, Sebastián Carrasco - physically disabled athlete who excels in various disciplines such as adapted cycling and mountain climbing; his plan is to climb in October the largest rock in Yosemite Park, USA, known as "El Capitan".
In different disciplines, Gabriela Loaiza - Enduro Downhill cyclist who is preparing to participate in the Enduro World Championship next August in France and Italy; and Bernardo Bueno - karting driver, who is looking for the podium in the Pan-American Championship in August.
The commitment to the well-being of people and the development of sports is constant. For six consecutive years, the company is the main sponsor of the NonStop-Imptek race to be held on June 24, and other competitions that promote local tourism and a healthy lifestyle, such as the Huairasinchi, to be held on July 29.
